The Secret of Alpha Mind Power

Meditation is practiced around the world by people in all walks of life as a way to lower anxiety levels, to relax, to clear the mind and to manage stress. The physical and mental health benefits are significant. It is also an excellent path to access alpha mind power.

An alpha state of mind occurs when meditation lets you relax into a place halfway between wakefulness and sleep. The mind floats freely and it is possible to slip easily into daydreams. Your mind is completely relaxed and open, an ideal incubator for new ideas.

Remember those lazy, summer days of childhood when you would lay on the grass and daydream to your heart’s content? It is time to enjoy that wonderful activity once again. It is not only fun; it is good for the brain.

Relax the brain and let the creativity flow! Relaxation allows the brain to function at its highest level – alpha mind power takes over. Neural pathways are rapidly created to provide energy to fully develop the new ideas from your daydreams

When you are in this relaxed state of mind, the alpha waves tap into the power of your subconscious mind, and creative brain action begins. The pictures you are creating through your daydreams of how you want your life to be will cause the brain to go to work to make it all happen for you.

As you can see, meditation for the purpose of accessing alpha mind power has many benefits. As it relaxes your mind and body and taps into the power of your subconscious mind, it also stimulates the creativity center of your brain – all of which are important strategies to increase brain power.

The best-known form of meditation is done sitting Buddha style, cross-legged on a cushion, but it does not have to be done that way. You can also meditate while taking an early morning walk, sitting alone by the ocean, or sitting in your favorite chair listening to beautiful music.

To achieve the greatest benefit from mediation to access alpha mind power, you should do it regularly. It does not matter how you meditate, or where, as long as you do it.

In the January 30, 2011 issue of Psychiatry Research: Neuroimaging, researchers reported that meditation for 30 minutes a day for eight weeks has measurable changes in gray-matter density in parts of the brain associated with memory, sense of self, empathy, and stress.

In the beginning, meditation and accessing alpha mind power are not particularly easy. Many people struggle with relaxing and emptying the mind. In fact, you probably have not spent time daydreaming for a while, possibly a very long time. The results you will experience in the long-term will be surprising, if you stay with it.

If you want to enjoy the rewards that await you, you must put forth the effort. Success will come a little at a time, but it will come. You must be patient while your brain adapts to this new activity and then it will jump into full gear from the stimulation and ideas will quickly develop to help you create the life you want.

Access your alpha mind power today. Let the child who still lives in your heart come out to play.
